Graffiti Spotlight

Graffiti Spotlight
It is rare to see graffiti in Singapore. Even if there’s any to be seen, none of it can be compared to those of many other countries, where graffiti can even be considered by some to be a specialized form of street art!

In the city of Melbourne in Australia, graffiti is often encouraged and even commissioned by businesses! We were walking on our way back to our hotel when I chanced upon this alley filled with graffiti art lit by a brilliant beam of sunlight. It was lucky that I had the handier G10 with me then: by the time I finished this shot and rummaged through my backpack to get to my 40D, the lighting had changed and made repeating this shot impossible.

  1. This is an excellent pictures! I guess the sun light is an important element that makes the picture great. The face on the wall is also interesting and makes a great combination with the light. We have lots of graffitti in Canada, but I find it hard to catch a similar moment.

  2. Thanks for coming by and leaving your comments, Raymond 🙂 Yes, without the sunlight, the picture would have been completely different!
