More from the same market in Solo City, Indonesia… Capturing the candid activities at the market wasn’t the easiest task because of the hustle and bustle. Fortunately, some post-processing in Lightroom does help to enhance the final picture. However, I would probably do ths only for artistic reasons and avoid it all together if the picture was meant for journalistic intent.
Still at the same market as the last two posts… Much of the hustle in the market before the stalls opened involved the stallholders setting up shop. This lady was deep-frying peanuts as she prepared breakfast for sale. I was captivated by the backlighting which lit up her activity and surroundings dramatically.
From the same market in the previous post… For the majority of us who visit markets, we tend to make our visit only when the stalls have been set up and open for business. For photography, there are lots of candid activity that can be captured prior to opening time, which means travelling to the market just when the stallholders arrive to set up shop. This boy was waiting for her mother to help him open up his beverage (I think it was a packet of soya milk). Her mother was however, too busy laying out her lingerie goods for display. I thought his expression and the context of the lingerie stall made an interesting picture and story.
