Colosseum Shooter

Colosseum Shooter
While this man was taking a shot of the view from the great Colosseum in Rome, Italy, I was busy taking a candid shot of him! 😛

Ten years ago, people might have wondered what this man was doing. Taken in today’s context, it is obvious that he is taking a picture with a digital camera. As with most point-and-shoots, I find that the design of these cameras (relying on the LCD for composition and doing away with an optical viewfinder in many cases) does not allow or encourage proper hand-holding technique. Holding a camera with outstretched hands can never ever be stable enough compared to the traditional “tuck your elbows close to your body while holding the camera viewfinder to your eye” way. Maybe that’s why I still enjoy my DSLR more than any point-and-shoot, even though the small size of a P&S can sometimes come in handy!

I am back for a post before I travel to Switzerland and Italy for my honeymoon trip… Hope to bring you more updates after that then!

This was taken outside our Bridal Suite at the Marina Mandarin Hotel. The morning sunlight filtering through the skylight within the hotel lit the room corridors perfectly. I was lucky to catch this man looking over the corridor ledge as I was heading back into our room.

This was taken at the Mega Combat event earlier in July this year…

I used to enjoy Body Combat at the gym 2 to 3 times a week. I stopped doing that since my gym membership expired in August. Somehow, visiting the gym and swimming at my new condominium apartment just feels different. I guess being in a class with peer pressure as well as an instructor leading the exercises adds some extra motivation to working out. Perhaps, I may renew my gym membership one day…
