A break from the recent Bali pictures as I delve into some other pictures from 2010 that I have yet to post up on this blog… The above was taking during my visit to the Botanical Gardens in Singapore last year together with this shot. Somehow, I like the horizontal composition of this one better than the original vertical one.

Surprisingly, I have yet to go out photographing in Singapore so far in 2011… Think I have been spoilt by my recent exploits in Melbourne, Shanghai, the UK and Bali 😛

The Chinese character for fish, é­š, is pronounced the same as that for “abundance” or “surplus”. Fish is one of the traditional dishes that must be served at the traditional Chinese reunion dinner as it signifies prosperity and abundance for the new year ahead.
