A Chinese-titled post for the fifteenth (and the last) day of the Chinese New Year. The title means “To Soar With Outstretched Wings”. I hope the Year of the Rabbit brings good fortune to you 🙂 The picture was taken in Bali at the Petulu Village area (located in Ubud) which is home to the “kokokans” (white herons).
The Chinese character for fish, éš, is pronounced the same as that for “abundance” or “surplus”. Fish is one of the traditional dishes that must be served at the traditional Chinese reunion dinner as it signifies prosperity and abundance for the new year ahead.
