Landscape Pictures
Immediately after I took this shot, I turned my attention to the Russell Lupins closer by. The rising sun was rapidly lighting up the landscape. I like the way the side light has cut across the foreground, lighting up the lupins but yet keeping a band of grass in the foreground dark for a contrasty effect.
A different version of my earlier post and Dad’s version… I like the way the almost-mirror-like reflections in the lake balanced the dramatic events happening in the skies.
Rugged but scenic alpine terrain greeted us on our way to Milford Sound, New Zealand. Despite the soft lighting, I like the moodiness of the above scenery created by the low, overhanging clouds. The intense green of the vegetation helped to brighten up what would have otherwise been a monochromatic scene.
