On The Milford Road To Te Anau

On The Milford Road To Te Anau
We’re back from what the Maoris call “the land of the long white cloud “, New Zealand! I was a little worried during my first couple of days’ visit there because of terrible rainy weather. However, the weather started to clear up later on and New Zealand certainly didn’t disappoint! The above is one of the many fantastic scenes I got to witness during my short 11-day visit. More to come… 🙂

I had the privilege to purchase a brand new Canon 40D right before my trip which I put to good use during the trip. The camera is a certainly a joy to use… more on that in my future posts to come!

“Cruise Loch Lomond”

"Cruise Loch Lomond"
How can a visit to Scotland go without a trip to the famed scenic Lochs? During my visit last month, we paid a various viewpoints along scenic Loch Lomond. Stopping at Tarbet after lunch, I was impressed by the still waters contrasting with the brightly lit cruise ferries. I have metered this shot using the bright white areas of the ferries to achieve a nice colour and lighting contrast in the final shot.

The conference I attended in the UK last month took place at the London ExCeL. This place reminded me of the Singapore Expo convention and exhibition centre. The UK was experiencing one of its worst summer weather-wise. The temperamental weather did gave opportunities for dramatic lighting and skies though. I snapped this at the Custom House DLR station on my way to my hotel located just opposite the conference venue.
