It may be Tulipmania at Gardens By The Bay currently but blooming daffodils and narcissuses are displayed as an interesting contrast. Collectively, tulips, daffodils and narcissuses are spring-flowering bulbs. Compared to the tulips, narcissuses are trickier to photograph. Patiently waiting for the right lighting conditions is the key!
Not only could we see beautiful tulips at the Tulipmania display at the Gardens By The Bay, visitors over this weekend were also treated with take-home tulip blooms… good enough for a nice exercise of still-life photography at home, using window-light and a dark background to bring out the glow in the colourful blooms!
We visited the Tulipmania 2024 display at Gardens by the Bay this morning without realising that it was not supposed to come on until tomorrow! Nevertheless, some of the tulips have already been put on display, so the visit was not in vain!
