Not only could we see beautiful tulips at the Tulipmania display at the Gardens By The Bay, visitors over this weekend were also treated with take-home tulip blooms… good enough for a nice exercise of still-life photography at home, using window-light and a dark background to bring out the glow in the colourful blooms!
We visited the Tulipmania 2024 display at Gardens by the Bay this morning without realising that it was not supposed to come on until tomorrow! Nevertheless, some of the tulips have already been put on display, so the visit was not in vain!
I came across this on this morning’s visit to the open-house at the Istana. The Istana is the official residence of the President of the Republic of Singapore. The weather was characteristically hot for this time of the year. I like the high-key feel and the rich greenish hues juxtaposed with the details in the backlit silhouettes of the tree branches.
