Frozen In Time

Frozen In Time
One of the satisfactions that I get from photography is when I am successful in making the seemingly mundane look interesting. I am glad to come across this essay on the web today which shares a similar opinion. The idea of creating something interesting from the mundane was also what I had in mind when I captured this shot almost 2 years ago during my trip to Switzerland. Hope that I’m successful here 😛 The ice must have been frozen for ages on the Alps. The thought of actually seeing water that has been frozen for what might have been millennia was certainly mind-boggling.

Having A Splashing Good Time

Having A Splashing Good Time
If there’s anything I’ve learnt about photography during theme park parades on at least two of my previous holidays, concentrating on the audience action can sometimes be more rewarding than concentrating on the parade itself. The above shot was taken during the Mickey’s Waterworks Parade on my visit to Hong Kong Disneyland recently. We were in the “wet-zone” of the parade itself. While CY and me hid under an umbrella to prevent getting splashed, I managed to sneak in a shot of the people seated opposite me having an equally splashing good time 😛
