On The Way Home

On The Way Home
More pictures from my Bromo trip… I caught a quick glimpse of some local Tenggerese heading home at the end of the day while we were out scouting for pictures in this picturesque village in Cemoro Lawang. The quality of the lighting and the unusual framing offered by the surrounding foilage attracted me to take this picture.

“Now be nice and say you’re sorry!”

"Now be nice and say you're sorry!"
Local Tenggerese tribe members operate the horse rides that take visitors up the slopes of Mount Bromo. There were many of them volunteering to take people on their ascent and descent along the powdery (from volcanic sulphuric ash) slopes of Mount Bromo. They became the main subjects of many of our candid shots :). I like this particular one because it seemed to be telling a story. I am not sure what the actual exact conversation was but I think the above caption seems appropriate 😛

Dance Of The Clouds

Dance Of The Clouds
The sky might have been “bland” in my previous post (although I still love the colours and the silhouettes!), but the clouds finally decided to put on a spectacular show for us in the evening. This is one of many shots I took as the sun descended over the village nearby our hotel in the Cemoro Lawang area. The cloud patterns changed very quickly over a short span of minutes — I will post more pictures for comparison in the near future 😀
