The above was taken at Tenganan Village in Bali, which is famous on the island for its classic representation of traditional Balinese life (before its subjugation by the Javanese). The inspiration for the title comes from the Monopoly board game 🙂 … the irony is that the prized roosters are kept confined, whereas the more ordinary ones are left free to roam the village.

As mentioned in my previous post, the Ngrupuk parade is held prior to Nyepi day in Bali. A competition was held for the ogoh-ogoh on parade in Denpasar. The event was full of pomp and pageantry during which many colourful and candid pictures could be taken. I was pretty happy that I managed to capture the above candid picture of one of the performers.
