It has become customary for me to post a flower picture almost every Chinese New Year… I am a little late with this year’s post (my parents didn’t buy any photogenic blooms for the New Year this time around :P). Here’s making up with a picture that I took during my visit to Loch Tummel last year. To those who can’t read Chinese, the title means literally to “rise (to greater aspirations) with every step”… In other words, may you reach greater heights in whatever you do in the New Year. 新年快乐！(Happy New Year)

Another picture from my trip to the UK last September from Lakeside, Windermere… I was taking pictures of seagulls swooping over the wooden pier in the area when I spotted this boat carrying its brightly-dressed rower. The colour was just what I was looking for in what would have been a relatively dull shot otherwise 😛

One of my much earlier shots (taken at this location at Changi Airport) was featured in a book project (titled To Singapore With Love) commemorating the 40th National Day of Singapore in 2005… Visiting the same location recently (minus the bulky photographic equipment I was carrying previously), I had a chance to repeat the shot but with a totally different feel this time. I like the freedom the G10 allowed me to capture the shot handheld without a tripod 🙂
