On a different note, I have upgraded my PC to Windows Vista Ultimate. Some things do work differently on the new OS, not all of which are exactly helpful: I had to update many of my old programs to ensure compatibility and there are some issues with colour calibration with the new OS. Thankfully, Photoshop and CaptureONE seem to work fine so far with no issues.
Dad and I enjoyed a short little session of photography while waiting for the rest of our driving tour group at a pomelo plantation in Ipoh, Malaysia. Making use of one of our tour member’s black car as a backdrop, I managed to capture this dramatically lit leaf on the farm’s wire fence.

This was taken at the Taiping lake during the day-trip we took out of Ipoh. With only a 24-105mm lens, this was as close as I could have gotten for this shot. I have tried to make use of the dividing lines between light and dark to create a zig-zag pattern throughout the picture.
