“Spare some for us, please?”

April 22, 2020

“Spare some for us, please?”
Taken in 2016 during a family vacation to Fremantle, Western Australia, during a time where “social distancing” was virtually unknown.

En Passant

En Passant
Same place, same players but from a different angle. I would not normally compose a picture with the main subject dead-centre but I think this composition works in harmony with the lines in the shot. The title (a chess move that means “in passing”) would be familiar to chess players! Rendered in monochrome for a more timeless and classical feel.

Morning Hues At Cape Tourville

Morning Hues At Cape Tourville
Going back a year to our family holiday in Tasmania (before world travel got locked down by COVID-19)… We woke up early to catch sunrise at Cape Tourville after staying overnight at the Freycinet National Park, just in time to catch the brilliant colours in the sky before the sun peeked above the horizon.
