Not Too Young For False Lashes

I had to scupper a trip to Eastern Europe at the very last moment because of the floods affecting the Danube River. Hence, it’s back to the shots that I took earlier on this year on my visit to Solo City, Indonesia. We had intended to visit Candi Cetho, a 15th century Javanese-Hindu temple after our visit to the tea plantation at Kemuning. We were side-trakced by some villagers who provided excellent moments for some candid photography. I caught this girl gazing intently as she alternated her curious gazes at us with her intense stare at the scenery behind us.

I have been wanting to get good glass at a focal length of 300mm for quite some time, especially after I moved up to full-frame with the 5D Mark III — the absence of the focal length “multipler” effect meant that I no longer have the reach I used to have with my older DSLRs. I finally got that “dream-lens” yesterday. Venturing out to the Marina Barrage for some pictures this morning, I caught sight of this lone heron by the pier at the reservoir. The longer reach of the lens certainly came in useful 🙂
