Laundry Day At SGH

One of my colour slide captured in the sixties (more than 60 years ago), the colour of the original slide was faded to a certain extent. Recently I scanned the image and decided to convert into a monochrome image. I think the tonal range and the contrast of the image in monochrome format is better than the colour original. Drying the laundry at the open field in Singapore General Hospital was a common sight. The is one of the Singapore heritage image that I had captured during my Sunday photographic outings in last century.

Perfect Selection

On 06 03 2022, I was fortunate to capture an image of a Scaly-breasted munia adding another branch to build the nest. Watching the process of nest building from my window, I realised that even bird brain would be able to select a suitable branch to add onto the nest that was on the red wax bamboo tree. I love the well-composed entrance to the nest. I was just at the right time at the right place to capture the habitat of nature.
