All Standing Still

Since I gained the ARPS in 1964, my passion of B&W pictorial photography (now known as visual art) has not died off. This is one of my new addition captured on 07 July 2021 at the Lower Seletar Reservoir. The soft lighting condition of cloudy weather did not deter me from capturing this image in monochrome format. My perception of tonal range still very strong. This is one of the important principles when doing monochrome photography.

An Admirer Of Landscape

My observation of a scene is always based on colours in relating to the environment. The simplicity of a scene is one of my important principles of capturing a striking image. This image is my typical way of making use the colourful foreground against a monochromatic backdrop. To me, such a concept is one way of capturing a vibrant visual image. The story content is always the soul of the captured image. I am very pleased with this image that I captured at the Lower Seletar Reservoir on 07 July 2021.

Descending Moment

I was searching for a landscape image during my visit to a river near Perrine Memorial Bridge, Twin Falls, Idaho, USA on 04 October 2015, My observation along the riverside was focussed on a well-lit sky diver. The main attraction was the vibrant colour of the diver against the subdue shady river down below. Obviously, good lighting and colour contrast achieved the maximum visual impact for the image.
