On 07 03 2023 at the Bishan Park, my perception was on the Lotus pods and leaf. Though they all were almost dried up, their colour and pattern were sufficiently vibrant for a stunning image. The strong impact of the image was also due to the good lighting contrast of the subject. The darker backdrop was also essential for the image in nature.
From the Albert Park, Melbourne on 26 05 2023, I spotted a floating maple leaf on the surface of the lake. It was the colour of the leaf that attracted me. I also liked the milky colour of the water with the pastel colour of water plant underneath. My perception was obviously on the setting of the environment.
From the Flower Dome of the Gardens by the Bays on the 07 06 2023, I was attracted by a group of vibrant roses. For such a close up image of flora, I had to make sure from my vantage angle the group of flora is complimentary to each other. The brilliant lighting is also a key factor for the visual impact of the image.
