Feel Free

From my vantage angle, I like the colour and lines of the boat. Both items formed a very strong composition for this colourful image. That is what I have been observing by the side of water at the Lower Seletar Reservoir on 11 05 2021. The whole idea in mind was to create a simple white background that enhanced the vibrant colours and lines of the image. The image thus captured is a study of design and pattern with a greater visual impact. “Feel Free” is the text on the boat. You really have to feel free to capture such an image.

Fishing In A Foggy Morning

I visualize the foggy condition at Lower Seletar Reservoir on 10 05 2021 morning. In searching for a subject of interest, I found an angler enjoying his fishing session at the pier. The orderly arranged pattern of the boats impressed me further. The idea of making use of the foggy backdrop against the interesting foreground appeared in my mind. Capturing the final image is the result of my orientation follow the initial observation. I like the pleasing mood of the image with greater sense of depth.

A Touch Of Ripples

Observation of the scene is always an initial stage to start with for my photographic session. I always look for interesting potential subject and moment to begin. In this case, I spotted the colourful reflections of the clouds in the water. The ripples generated by the fish obviously added a visual impact for the final image. Observation, orientation are the two stages before I capture the image. All these stages could just happen within a split of second.
