Securely Perched

On 05 and 06 03 2022 from my window at home, I was fortunate to capture Scaly-breasted munia (special thanks to Prof. Yu Su Ling for the information) in action on the red wax bamboo tree Shooting the images from the vantage angle parallelly opposite the tree in my bedroom, I was able to capture the various moments of the action in good comfort. Actually, I spent two and half days capturing different steps of the action. Started with the camera hand held, and later mounted the camera on a tripod. With the 100mm-400mm + 2X converter G-master lens on SonyA7RIII, I managed to capture numerous striking images. This image shown here is further cropped to a more pleasing format.

Perching On A Spiky Branch

I captured this image during my safari trip in East Africa in 2019. I don’t know why this bird perched on a spiky branch. I don’t know the nomenclature of this bird. I would be greatly appreciated if you are aware and share with me. My perception to capture the image is based on the posture of bird and the brilliant lighting on the subject. I think this is the usual features that I search for before I capturing the image.
