I like the texture of the tree trunk. If you peruse the image, you may discover that the shape of the bark looks like a symbol of a face. I think your interpretation is as good as mine. That was my observation of the tree when I visited Kew Garden, London in 2015. Though the image is not vibrant in colour, the texture and pattern are strongly attracted me in capturing this image.
My perception of colour and pattern is always one of the principles of capturing an eye-catching image. The reflection of heron in silhouette is my concept of adding an interesting feature to the image. Using a different perspective to view in capturing an image is a different approach in my passion of photography.
From the size of the fish, the otters at the Lower Seletar Reservoir obviously are over fed. I think they are the lucky group enjoying the supply of fresh seafood FOC. For me, was fortunate to freeze another decisive movement within a split of second. Most importantly, the brilliant morning lighting enhanced the image.At present,I think the otters have migrated to condo for a better feed. They have not appear for a long time,
