We have arranged a cockfight during our outing in Lombok recently. Though the session was a short one. I fully utilized a elevated ground level in order to have a low angle to shoot the flying cocks. The result shown here is one the best flights that I have ever captured.
One of itineraries of 2011 Nusantara Photo Club Annual Meeting is a trip to Gili Trawangan, Lombok. The island actually is flooded with tourists who are fond of seaside and outdoor life. It is unusual to find this quiet corner of the coast where you could enjoy the sound and rhythm of waves. Surely, I prefer to use a slow shutter speed to capture the beauty of the gushing wave in contrast of the dead wood branch. The result of such approach is an image with a greater visual impact.
This is another image captured during my trip to Lok Baintan, Banjarmasin, Indonesia. I think you should be able to guess what the man was up to. To me, it is just another candid shot that would disappear within a split of second.
Such an image is when you miss it, you would miss it forever.
