Dawn At St. Mary Lighthouse

I think thousand images of St.Mary Lighthouse, an icon of Tynemouth, UK, have been captured all these years. My first impression of this lighthouse was in 1996 when I was here to judge the NCPF International Salon. I remembered the image was shot in colour transparency. I am back again in September this year to judge the 40th NCPF International Salon. For this visit, I decided to capture the image of this icon in digital format. The soft light in the morning touched the side of the lighthouse. I love the effect of such the lighting condition. The figures in the image aptly added a scale to the lighthouse.

Low Tide

On my way to the Northumberland, UK, I discovered this scene along the roadside. Overlooking from my vantage angle, was a very colourful setting of the boats. The serenity of a river scene obviously was set by the condition of low tide. I love the arrangement of the boats and apparently, the colour of the boats caught my eye. Most importantly, the reflection in the water further added interest to the colourful image with visual impact.
