A View of Guang Ji Lou

Guang Ji Lou, Chao Zhou, China, is one of the attraction not to be missed. When I came out from Guan Ji Qiao, I was attracted by the dramatic sky. In order to emphasize the cloud formations, I deliberately using a 16mm focal length wide angle lens to capture this image. Though I captured the image of Guang Ji Lou and placed at the lower portion of the image, the maximum dramatic impact of the image is thus achieved. To me, I like the different perspective of capturing this icon of Chao Zhou. Most importantly, the sunburst added interest to the entire image.

To Market With My Capture

A closed season for fishing is implemented from 1 June to 1 August for all fishing gears except gillnet, line-fishing and cage capture. Along the Guan Hai Chang Lang (Seashore Long Corridor Park), Shantou, China, every morning, a dozen small fishing boats frequently dock at the side of the coast. The fishermen brought their cage capture and sold them to the market or at the site. As seen here, one of the fishermen is hurrying over the pedestrian bridge to the market. The touch of the morning light brightens the image that I captured.
