Ji Xiang

Ji Xiang the two words on the lantern in Chinese means lucky, auspicious and propitious. It is one of the many wishes to visitor in Kaiyuan Si, Chao Zhou, China. I decided to use a different angle to capture this corner of Kaiyuan Si. The gorgeous sky and the sunburst through the leaves apparently added colour and interest to the entire image.

A closed season for fishing is implemented from 1 June to 1 August for all fishing gears except gillnet, line-fishing and cage capture. Along the Guan Hai Chang Lang (Seashore Long Corridor Park), Shantou, China, every morning, a dozen small fishing boats frequently dock at the side of the coast. The fishermen brought their cage capture and sold them to the market or at the site. As seen here, one of the fishermen is hurrying over the pedestrian bridge to the market. The touch of the morning light brightens the image that I captured.
