The vibrant colour of a rusty panel attracted me to capture this image at Tai O, Hong Kong on 15 12 2012. Further to my observation, I noted the strong texture and pattern of the metal pattern were very outstanding. The brighter golden colour was on the lock and matching well with the surrounding features. To me, all these features together formed a very strong visual impact for a colourful image.
From my vantage angle at the Jember Festival, East Java, Indonesia on 04 08 2019, I was able to capture an interesting image of the performing troops. My perception was focused on the drum player of the performers. I was fortunate to have the drum player just at the open space among the performing troop. Once again, to capture such an image was a split of a second that not to be missed.
I revisited Zhong San Gong Yuan, Shantou, China, on 14 Oct. 2016. I don’t remember seeing such a colourful scene in this park seventy four years ago. I spent couples of months in Shantou during my childhood. I think kois are very colourful fish and always attracted me for photography. But for this particular shot, my observation was focused on the white one. I like the very interesting strong lines pattern and vibrant colours of the fishes. I am glad to observe that Shantou has developed tremendously all these years.
