What attracted me to capture this image are the lines, colour pattern, shapes and texture. The subject of the image is actually very common in our daily life. I take this as an observation challenge in my photographic practice. I captured this image during my visit to Xiamen, Fujian, China in October 2017.
The colour and the pattern of a new leaf is the main attraction of this image. The colour contrast is another element that I consider when this image was captured.
This is just simple setting that I encountered in a small pond located in the old city of Hoi An, Vietnam.
