A trip to the Bird Park on 09 Jan 2022, gave me an opportunity of capturing an image of colourful macaw in flight. Though I was at the performance of the live show in the park, the challenge was to capture the bird in flight at the right moment. In this case, anticipation of the flight was essential to capture a striking image.
27 Aug 2021 morning at the Lower Seletar Reservoir, the rays of rising sun together with its reflection attracted me and initiated my concept of capturing another striking landscape image. From my vantage angle, I decided to utilise the nearer tree truck on the right side to lead the attention to the further left. The warmest touch of morning light on the tree trunk further enhanced the image. The silhouette figure of the seated person added interest to the whole image. I just simply like the tranquil mood of the Reservoir first thing in the morning.
My perception of the reflection of setting moon in the water of the Lower Seletar Reservoir on 21 Nov 2021, reminded me “近水楼台先得月, jìn shuǐ lóu tái xiān dé yuè”. Obviously, I enjoyed the advantage of being in a favoured position to capture a vibrant image. For the dweller of the apartments opposite the Reservoir, they may not realizes that their view from the apartment is so beautiful.
