Spending an early hours at Bishan Park around 7:00 am is really rewarding for me as a photographer. On 13 04 2023, I had an opportunity capturing an image of a waterhen in action at day break. Able to capture the right moment of the action with the pattern of ripples is an image that I anticipated first thing in the morning.
I think to capture a stunning image in nature you may have to understand the habitat of the subject. This was what I observed on 13 04 2023 at the Bishan Park. Anticipating the heron would enter the sallow water of the park, I was already set to capture the image before the bird entering my frame of the image. I am pleased with the visual impact of the final image
The strong hazy condition of our environment gave me an opportunity of capturing the rising sun with a very soft effect. Waited for a while before the heron entering my preferred location in the frame to complete the image. The image that I had in mind was captured at the Bishan Park on 13 04 2023.
