Though the image appeared in a monochromatic format, I am satisfied with the strong visual impact. When the sky changed from fine to worse, it was also an opportunity to capture an eye-catching image. One of my principles in photography is to respond to the changes of the situation almost immediately.
The pelican really looked elegant when the bird joining the performant in the life show of the Jurong Bird Park on 14 July 2022. For me, capturing the right moment is what I was anticipating while I was watching the show. The posture of the bird seen from my vantage angle showed that perfect training of the bird by the keeper had been achieved.
To capture the pattern of the water besides freezing the decisive moment of the maintaining boat was my perception of this image. The colour of the image apparently enhanced the visual impact further. It was one of my favourite spots at the Upper Peirce Reservoir to capture an outstanding image. (19 July 2022)
