The maintaining crew of the Upper Peirce Reservoir was out early in the morning of 04 10 2022. Their boat arrived at the golden patch of water area just in time for me to capture an image that I had in mind. The misty atmosphere in that morning was conducive for an image with sufficient depth. The warmer lighting in the morning further enhanced the visual impact to the image.
The perception and concept of capturing an image is personal and differ from each individual. When I spotted the simple pattern formation of the plants by the side of water from my vantage angle at the Punggol Park on 02 04 2022, I was very pleased to capture another eye-catching image. The dragonfly perching on the plant further added interest to the image. Simplicity and colours against a clean backdrop are my principal of capturing an image with aesthetic value.
On 23 11 2019, after receiving an award from Quanzhou (Hua Quan) International Photographic Biennial Exhibition, Fujian, China, was treated to a photographic session of Hui’An Women at work. The activities at the beach with their colourful traditional attire is one of attractions to tourists for a photographic session.
For such an arranged session, my expectation is to capture the decisive moment within a split of a second. Proper synchronisation action of the group is essential to me on top of the colourful attraction.
