Drying salted fishes by sunlight is an activity practising by the local people in Tai O, Hong Kong. Though the process is primitive, undoubtedly is their affairs in preserving salted fishes. I was attracted by the arrangement of such process during my visit in 2014. The high lighted hanging one is interesting to be the main subject of the image.
I always search for a silhouette as a foreground of the sunrise image. From the vantage angle of my apartment,I was able to capture the image of sunrise with the buildings in silhouette as a foreground. On 28 12 2020 morning, the rising sun was much softer. Are you able to differentiate the difference between sunrise and sunset image? Years ago, a veteran in photography ever made a wrong judgement in front of a guest of honour at an opening when they were viewing my exhibit. So be cautious!
The colourful backdrop was the attraction of my perception while I visit Tai O, Hong Kong in 2016. Fortunately to have the tourists served as my subject of the main interest while they were having a break. To capture the decisive moment of the action definitely is important for the story content.
