The weather condition is forever changing. My chance of capturing an amazing image depends very much on the weather condition. Most importantly, my perception of the environment is a deciding factor. On 11 Aug 2021, I was attracted by the unusual pattern formation of raining clouds. It appeared to me, like a master of art had completed a Chinese ink painting in the sky.
I just simply loved the colour and pattern of the of the image that I captured.
Celebration in a village such as Tenganan, Bali, satay is always a favourite dish. My perception of this satay cooking session, besides focused on the ordering manner of the people and their action, my focus was also on the separation of the backdrop by the dispersing smoke. I was also attracted by the colourful setting of the scene. Such an approach, is one way of capturing a busy environment with greater visual impact.
The weather forecast on 16 02 2022 was mostly cloudy. I had not given up my expectation of capturing a good image first thing in the morning. As usual, I made a trip to Upper Peirce Reservoir. When I arrived there, the weather sudden turned bad. But the sky appeared amazing dramatic. My perception oriented me to shoot a number of images of the vibrant sky. If black and white photography is your cup of tea, I think you would like the visual impact of this image.
