A Touch Of Ripples

Observation of the scene is always an initial stage to start with for my photographic session. I always look for interesting potential subject and moment to begin. In this case, I spotted the colourful reflections of the clouds in the water. The ripples generated by the fish obviously added a visual impact for the final image. Observation, orientation are the two stages before I capture the image. All these stages could just happen within a split of second.

Fogging Along the Colourful Reflections

Fogging for the control of Dengue Fever is a regular practice at the Lower Seletar Reservoir. Initially I visualize the colourful reflections of the sky in the water. The vibrant colours of the reflections is really spectacular. A minute later, the fogging boat was heading to my direction.
Without further delay, my orientation with proper setting on the camera and this amazing image of the fogging session was captured.

An Angler Session At The Reservoir

The popularity of fishing is a common sight at the reservoir. Initially, I was strongly attracted by the foggy environment. Later, I found an angler having his fishing session by the edge of the water. The idea of making full use of the gigantic tress and plant to frame the subject appeared in my mind follows. The whole design of the image is to capture the beautiful environment of the reservoir with strong sensation of pleasing atmosphere.
Most importantly, to capture the moment on time is still essential for the whole Image. (Lower Seletar Reservoir, 10 05 2021)
