The little note on the brick wall stated “the land of sunshines” attracted me besides the colourful garbage bins. The brick wall added interest to this colour image of a street scene of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

It’s Summer
Right opposite the hotel that I was staying in Melbourne is the beautiful Flagstaff Gardens. Though is summertime, the blooming tree in the gardens beautifully lit by the afternoon light attracted me to capture this image. I deliberately distorted the image with a wide-angle lens to emphasize the magnitude of a tree with the blooming flowers.
I like It
To me, a visit to the Queen Victoria Market, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, would not be disappointed in searching subject for candid photography. To look for a new perspective is my challenge of capturing this image. I finally decided to use a mirror image to add life to this static colourful display of the merchandise items.
