By now I should be back in Central Java to judge the final of the 2009 Garuda Indonesia International Photo Contest. Looking up an image to publish from my draft, I found this one, which was captured in 2007. I came across this interesting image in the lily pond at the Bogor Botanical Gardens, Indonesia. Actually I was attracted by the pattern and colour of the item.
To gain an acceptance in the London Salon in the sixties was an achievement in photographic art. My record shows that this monochrome print was one of the 3 acceptances out of the 4 monochrome prints that I submitted in 1964 London Salon. After a lapse of 45 years, I still quite like the print. This is also one of the prints that I will exhibit in my coming “Painting With Light and Shadow-A 50 Year Chronicle”. You are welcome to visit the Exhibition.
