Have you noted that two swimmers in the image were returning to the deck? They were just two of many swimmers that had an early morning swimming session in the Shantou Harbour, China. This was a common sight of the morning sessions that I came across during my several visits.
Another colourful image that I captured during my morning stroll along the Esplanade of the Seaview, Shantou, China. My five mornings of early stroll at this location were rewarded with many images that I like. I was fortunate to have fine weather for my outing to this location opposite the hotel.
I do not know the significance of 1860 for the old town of Shantou, China. Simply, I saw this figure on the lanterns that were on display in the old town. Nevertheless, I like the location during twilight time. The urban renewed old town definitely is gorgeous just before the sky is darkened.
