I returned from Pangalengan,West Java,Indonesia few days ago. I enjoyed my third visit to this beautiful place. The twilight in the evening at the tea plantation was just gorgeous. I think is one of the best twilight that I have ever come across. My sincere thanks to Pak Budi, Pak Effendi and many fellow photographers (twelve of them, too many to be listed here) whom has made this wonderful enjoyable trip possible.
Queuing to cross the road in order to reach Tienanmen Square, Beijing, could be a tiring and boring experience. I queued up my self and eventually I gave up. As seen here, this is a real torture for young and old. My advice, is never visit such a location when you could expect a big turn up on that very day.
I captured this image of Kolek Racing of our Malay community in the sixties. Actually, the Bedok Sports Club celebrated its fourth anniversary with Kolek races as far back as in October 1957 (as reported in the Singapore Free Press). The Siglap Kolek racing was held as far back as 1939 (as reported in The Straits Times). Record shows the Malay Kolek Race started off in fine style in 1928.The Malay Kolek racing is apparently part of our heritage.
