The Star Of Great Wall

The Star Of Great Wall
To capture an image against the light is a challenge to me. First and foremost, a strong silhouette with good detail, as a foreground is my first requirement. For this particular landscape image, to have the sun appeared as a star is another enhancement to me. My usual practice is to close down the aperture to f.22 in order to achieve the strong star effect of the sun. No star filter is required.

Another image capturing at the Novena Church’s congregation, was my Gold Medal Award in The 12th Malaysian Photographic Exhibition 1964. I didn’t realize that this image was captured 51 years ago. The image was also used as the cover picture of the Exhibition catalog. The Exhibition Chairman was none other than Mr. Chua Soo Bin.
