“Hold On, Junior!”

"Hold On, Junior!"
Turning my attention from the Lowry, I caught sight of this man bringing his child out for a walk (and taking pictures of him presumably). Seeing a photo-opportunity myself, I took a quick snap of him just as he was about to adjust his son’s jacket. I like the strong pattern and framing formed by the suspension bridge, which I have further enhanced here with a solarization filter.

I conducted a mini photography workshop last Saturday at the Botanical Gardens for a group of amputee patients as part of a series of art activities organised by the SGH Arts for Health programme. In between, I caught some pictures at the Symphony Lake. The lighting that day wasn’t exactly great (I’d have liked if I could have started earlier during the “golden hours”). In the end, I did manage to catch a couple of pictures I was happy with.

Seeking Directions On A One-Way Street

Seeking Directions On A One Way Street
It has been a while since I posted a Singaporean street scene 🙂

When CY had an appointment in town yesterday, I took the opportunity to wander around and take some pictures around the Singapore River area. Just when I was wrapped up with my shoot, I came across this scene of a lorry driver stopping by the roadside to make a phone call. I was amused by the irony of the scene since he seemed to be asking directions on a one-way street. I do wish that he had a more brightly-coloured vehicle though. In any case, I did a Photoshop-added, zany-coloured treatment for the fun of it although both Mum and CY thought that I over-did it a little 😛
