A candid moment caught on the grounds of the Istana (the official residence of the President of the Republic of Singapore) captured rather appropriately on a mobile phone camera! Taken during the recent Istana open house to celebrate Hari Raya Puasa and Labour Day.
Same place, same players but from a different angle. I would not normally compose a picture with the main subject dead-centre but I think this composition works in harmony with the lines in the shot. The title (a chess move that means “in passing”) would be familiar to chess players! Rendered in monochrome for a more timeless and classical feel.
