Taken on vacation trips
If this was taken more than 10 years ago, you’d have wondered what these girls were doing. Nowadays, digital photography has made it so ridiculously easy to snap pictures that everyone is doing it, accounting for the ubiquitous self-portrait shots that pop up on almost every Facebook page. Taken at Southbank of the Yarra River, Melbourne.
I am back from a short six-day trip to Melbourne, Australia where I spent three days instructing on a course, and the rest catching up on some rest and photography. One of the places I planned to visit this time round was the Webb Bridge (in the Docklands), a competition-winning pedestrian/cycle bridge over the Yarra river. The bridge was so chockfull of photographic opportunities that I made three separate trips to it within a week! The above is one of the shots I caught on my third visit to the place.
Taken at the Fujimiao (夫å庙) tourist area in Nanjing (å—京) … I wished that there was a little more separation between the two ladies shopping, however this was almost impossible given the flurry of activity and passers-by around the area. I have deliberately desaturated the modern bit of the shot to contrast with the “older” bits.
