Durdle Door, Dorset

Durdle Door, Dorset
Durdle Door on the Dorset Coast was a place that I wanted to photograph before I left the UK for home. I wasn’t too hopeful about the weather then as strong winds, rain and floods along the south coast of the UK made travel tricky. Thankfully, the weather cleared up when we finally arrived at Durdle Door. Dad has a similar version of this shot with a different colour balance due to our different cameras and processing.

Cleaning in Progress
After enjoying a year of photography away from Singapore, I have finally come back to taking pictures of the urban landscape in Singapore. The above was taken during a Sunday walk along the Marina Bay Sands waterfront. Although I have previously taken pictures of the architecture of the ArtScience Museum, what I like about this shot is the presence of the “cherry picker”. I thought this, together with the man in it, provided a point of human contrast as well as a reference to the scale of the architecture.
