I took a different approach and journey to Windermere on what must have been my fifth or sixth visit this time, taking some suggestions from a Lake District e-book that I purchased. We made a half-an-hour quiet trek up to Gummer’s How and were rewarded with nice panoramic views of the surrounding areas.
This shot reminded me of almost a cross between this inverted shot and my earlier series on “Walking Shadows”. Taken at the British Museum in London, I have rotated the picture to highlight the interesting shadows of the museum visitors.
The “golden hour” just before sunset at Windermere has always given me good photographic opportunities. The above is one of the shots I caught during our most recent visit… I love the warm glow of the setting sun that lit up the scene nicely.
