Look-Out Lamb
Turning my back to the scenery after I took this shot, I focused on the activities of the lambs grazing on the slopes of the Newland Valley. I was in the midst of capturing this lamb at the top of its perch when a fine mist blew over, setting a perfectly soft background to contrast with the hill in front nicely.
Looming Over Tynemouth Castle
After the beauty of Buttermere, we arrived on the same evening at Tynemouth. Tynemouth certainly did not fail to deliver photographically (even after the stunning scenery at Buttermere)! Dramatic cloud patterns along with the setting sun provided the ideal setting for this shot of historic Tynemouth Castle and Priory.
