Carved Out Of Rock
Passing through the Homer Tunnel on the way to Milford Sound in New Zealand, we reached the head of the Cleddau Valley. Named after the river that flows along its floor, the Cleddau Valley is the last valley entered when approaching Milford Sound from Te Anau. The U-shape of the valley was supposedly formed when glaciers carved their way past on their descent to Milford Sound.
