Moeraki Waves

Moeraki Waves
When planning my New Zealand holiday trip, one of the items I marked down as a “must-see” on our itinerary were the Moeraki Boulders. Unfortunately, the Boulders were not as spectacular as I hoped when we arrived, perhaps due to a combination of tide times, weather as well as lighting. Nevertheless, we did capture a number of nice pictures. Dad has posted his here. For this particular shot of mine, I concentrated not on the Boulders but on the lines and patterns formed by the receding waves as the sun began to set gradually.

Glowing Skies Above The Good Shepherd

Glowing Skies Above The Good Shepherd
It’s no wonder why the Church of the Good Shepherd has been described as New Zealand’s most-often photographed church… Just a short morning around the church was all I needed to capture two dramatic shots one of which I posted here previously, and the current one above. Post-processing with curves and saturation has been done to bring out the contrast and dramatic lighting of the scene.
