This was taken during last month’s visit to the Changi Jetty. We arrived slightly earlier at the jetty after catching sunrise at Changi Coast to be rewarded by this scene of a brightly coloured red boat setting off. I had James Jordan’s Red Rule in mind when I shot this. I think the yellow t-shirt on one of the workers complimented the red rather well too. Compositionally, I am rather happy with the curved line I caught, formed by the arrangement of the boats. The warm light provided by the early rising sun lit up the scene perfectly for me. I wonder what the guys were looking at…

This was taken during my recent morning walk-through at Cantonment Road in downtown Singapore. The brilliant reflection of a building within another attracted me. I thought the strong patterns made up for the almost monochromatic and monotonous colors of the original shot.
