I just got back from a driving trip up north to Ipoh, Malaysia with CY, Mum and Dad 🙂
Although chiefly a rest-and-relax (and eating!) trip, I did manage to squeeze in a couple of nice pictures along the way. I caught this picture right from my hotel window: lying on the balcony below my hotel room was this assortment of pots scattered all over. The morning sun provided just the right lighting for this composition of circles.
After the fireworks of my previous post, dad and I decided to stay on for a little night photography (we’ve after all traveled all the way down here for just 5 minutes worth of fireworks-photography anyway!). The last time I took a shot of this scene was close to two and a half years ago. Here’s one with a slightly different mood compared to what I took then.
It’s fireworks galore for the past couple of weeks as Singapore celebrates the Chinese New Year with weekly fireworks at the Singapore River. The fireworks can also be seen from the Kallang River waterfront. The advantage – no need to jostle with the crowds that usually gather nearer the Singapore River. My father and I were impressed by what we saw at the Kallang River on Saturday evening while we were there for a family dinner — so much so that we headed back to the same place on Sunday evening to catch some pictures.
