Moon Over The Campo dei Miracoli

Moon Over The Campo dei Miracoli
When I came across the day-lit moon at the Campo dei Miracoli during our tour in Italy, I was reminded of some of the beautiful moonrise shots of James Jordan (who has incidentally started a useful and easy-to-read photography-tips blog at “Ready, Aim, Click“). The skies were remarkably blue that morning, creating a nice contrast to the yellow and brown of the ancient buildings. I switched to a long lens to get the buildings close and keep the moon a reasonable size in the frame.

Foraging

Foraging
I went out this morning for some photography at the Botanical Gardens with my father. Part of the trip was about testing out my new 24-105mm lens. Ironically, my most favourite shot of the day came instead from my trusty 70-200mm. I like the colours, the backlighting as well as the framing of the shot. The foraging ant brought some action and life into the picture.

I finally gave in to the lures of B&H and bought a Canon EF 24-105mm f/4 L lens from them 🙂 This is the first time I did an overseas lens purchase from the Internet, and am I impressed by their service!

The package arrived by UPS shipment tonight and eager me tested the lens immediately with some long exposure shots on the traffic intersection opposite my apartment. I will be testing the lens more thoroughly this weekend (*pray for good weather*) 🙂
